Why Small is the New Big at Snowvillage Inn

Romantic White Mountain Wedding Venue

Secluded

Are you dreaming of a getaway later this season? With much of the world staying at home in spring 2020, what might a perfect vacation look like later this year and beyond?

Those in the travel business are pulling out their crystal balls to anticipate what might come next. Travel PR gurus at Louis Karno & Company recently shared (with some paraphrasing), “Might we recommend something rural, small-batch, natural, and wild. No crowds, no lines, no masses. The possibility is that there will be smaller and more exclusive options.” We have to say, we like that idea.

Fresh Air

Going back to the 1800s in what is now known as the Mount Washington Valley, visitors took a train to spend weeks on end in the White Mountains and other natural locales, in grand hotels.

We don’t claim to be a grand hotel. In fact, quite the contrary. We think that our small inn – with only 17 rooms and at most 34 guests staying with us at one time – makes us a cozy intimate choice.  But like many of the grand old hotels, you can stay here and never leave the property for the entirety of your trip. Breakfast is served at private tables in our spacious dining room. Dinner is an option as well, even drinks outdoors on our deck or screened porch.

Like to hike but want to avoid the crowds? Our grounds offer 10 acres of winding forested trails. Or walk around our spectacular gardens for a delightful sensation of sights and smells. Even better, sit in one of our many lounge chairs and just stare off at the distant mountains. Admit it, it sounds amazing doesn’t it?  Our small is the new big!

Intimate Venue

Is live music your thing? With Stone Mountain Arts Center nearby, you can enjoy big talent in a smaller venue close to the Inn. SMAC lets you avoid the larger concert venue or tight nightclub scene. Their concert schedule later this summer and fall is impressive and features top-name talent.

Snowvillage Inn invites you to be in nature but not in a crowd. While we are currently closed due to a New Hampshire wide stay at home order, we look forward to seeing our guests again later this season to enjoy a perfectly sized getaway! In the meantime, we are busy doing an extra special deep spring cleaning of the Inn!
