Going back to the 1800s in what is now known as the Mount Washington Valley, visitors took a train to spend weeks on end in the White Mountains and other natural locales, in grand hotels.
We don’t claim to be a grand hotel. In fact, quite the contrary. We think that our small inn – with only 17 rooms and at most 34 guests staying with us at one time – makes us a cozy intimate choice. But like many of the grand old hotels, you can stay here and never leave the property for the entirety of your trip. Breakfast is served at private tables in our spacious dining room. Dinner is an option as well, even drinks outdoors on our deck or screened porch.
