Our Favorite Lakes

Crystal Lake

Located just down the road from the resort, this Crystal Lake features clear water with a sandy private beach. A great part of staying with us is that your room reservation grants you access to this quiet waterbody, perfect for an afternoon swim or paddle away from the crowds.

Ossipee Lake

Ossipee Lake is the sixth largest lake in the state and is well known for its sandbars, great for anchoring and swimming on a sunny afternoon. Consider renting a boat at the nearby Goodhue Boat Company in Freedom, New Hampshire to experience the thrill of boating and tubing.

Silver Lake

This beautiful lake is located in Madison, New Hampshire, and is a great place to canoe or kayak. Visitors have access to three beaches (Nichols Beach, Monument Beach, and Kennett Beach) with crystalline waters to enjoy swimming and snorkeling. A boat launch ramp is located at the south end of Silver Lake. Summertime brings sailboats, rowing shells, and kayaks plowing the pristine waters. Silver Lake lures anglers with catches of smallmouth bass, pickerel, horned pout, lake trout, rainbow trout, and whitefish.

Purity Lake

Purity Lake is a reservoir located just a few miles from the resort. Be sure to grab your fishing road, as anglers will find a variety of fish including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, bullhead, pickerel, perch, smallmouth buffalo, bream/bluegill and smelt here.

Lake Chocorua

If you’re looking for the perfect guided kayaking experience, look no further. Our guided kayaking experience on Lake Chocorua has everything you need to experience paddling. After enjoying breakfast at the inn, your guides pick you up for your Guided Kayaking Experience In the White Mountains, including all the gear, to take you to the most peaceful lake in our area, Lake Chocorua. With the unmistakable mountain views, clean calm waters, and highly viewable wildlife, this is quite the outdoor experience.

Our Favorite River Spots

Saco River

Spanning from Crawford Notch all the way to the Atlantic Ocean, the Saco River provides a variety of recreation opportunities including paddling, fishing, and floating. Renting a boat or float provides convenience and even offers a shuttle ride so you don’t have to worry about getting picked up at the end of your adventure!

Waterfalls

Nearby waterfalls offer a cooling respite from the heat on a hot summer day here in New Hampshire. Touring New Hampshire’s waterfalls can even be a fun activity in the spring because the winter runoff has all of the falls raging. In what Yankee Magazine calls “the ultimate rock concert,” Mt Washington Valley, NH offers a host of ideal locations for waterfall viewing. Many of these mesmerizing falls are accessible by car and/or a short walk. Be sure to add Arethusa, Sabaday, and Diana’s Bath to the list, and don’t forget your camera!
