A Special Message from Kevin and Jen

March 23, 2024

Dear Friends,

We are writing to you with exciting news about a new path we are taking with our lives, and a new future for the Snowvillage Inn. As of April 1, 2024,  the Inn will welcome new owners and we will move on to the next chapter of our lives.

This wasn’t an easy decision for us. Being Innkeepers and restaurateurs isn’t just a job, it’s a passion and one that we have embraced for 12 years for Jen and a lifetime for Kevin. But after so many years of putting our heart and soul into the Inn, we’ve decided it’s time to pass the torch to the next Innkeepers who will carry on the 75-year tradition.

In choosing the next owners of the Inn, we wanted to ensure that we selected someone who would embrace this place as much as we have and would carry on the many traditions you know and love.  This included maintaining the business as an Inn with a restaurant and keeping on our hard-working staff. This includes our new Chef Carolyn, who we can say without hesitation is among the best we’ve worked with at Max’s at the Snowvillage Inn.

The new owners also own the Stonehurst Manor in North Conway, NH. We felt these individuals understand what it means to run a historic inn and restaurant and are committed to the Mt. Washington Valley. We will let them introduce themselves to you personally, and we will be part of an open house they are planning early next month. We encourage you to watch your email and make time to stop by and meet the new owners. We like them immensely and know you will too.

If you have upcoming reservations for lodging or dining, rest assured that your space is still saved for you. There are no immediate plans for any big changes to either the Inn or the restaurant. And with Chef Carolyn in place, you can count on the same spectacular fine dining you’ve come to expect at Max’s.

Now about our future plans. Jen is going to put full focus on her Garden Dreams Artisan Skin Care products (https://gardendreams.org/). We have also purchased a home in Freedom, NH, so we are not going far! Kevin is going to enjoy a well-earned retirement and maybe a few side hustles.  Kevin just can’t sit still. And short term, we are looking forward to a tropical vacation with our toes in the sand for a few weeks.

Thank you so much for entrusting us with the special moments in your life. It has meant the world to us. Take care.

With love,

Kevin & Jen
